Stichting Post Academisch Onderwijs Techniek en Management (PAOTM) is immediately looking for a Program manager for the expansion and growth of a number of disciplines. As a Program manager you translate knowledge and innovation into practice by organizing courses and training for engineers. You are enterprising and network-oriented and are always looking for new developments to ensure that the course offering perfectly meets the knowledge needs of our participants.

Job description

You will be responsible for our course program in a number of disciplines, where you can choose from: Hydraulic Engineering; Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science & Maritime; Structural design; Energy & electrical engineering or Process technology & chemistry. Substantive knowledge of the subject areas is an advantage but not necessary. It is important that you have an affinity with technology and build a network through which you work with our course leaders and customers on the development and updating of courses. You know what challenges there are in the market, the course instructors are the substantive experts. You can connect well, see connections and translate global developments into new courses, in consultation with our network. You enjoy meeting new people, maintaining contacts, expanding and initiating new collaborations.

You are responsible for your own in-company's: intake interviews, translation into a suitable (customized) program and making quotations. You feed our marketing team to promote your courses and training. You are responsible for the quality (evaluations and improvement proposals) and the (financial) results of your courses. You will be supported by colleagues who take care of the planning and organization of our course and training offering.

What do we expect from you?

• a completed HBO or WO education, preferably with knowledge of learning and development for professionals and an interest in technology (if you are not an engineer);
• a good idea of the fields that interest you and a relevant network at universities, business and government (or the motivation to develop one);
• preferably 3-5 years of work experience with relationship management, acquisition, negotiation and marketing of training courses: if you have less experience but have a lot of ambition - we would also like to invite you to come for an interview;
• you love networking, are customer-oriented and with your enthusiasm you convince teachers to make room in their busy agendas to participate in our courses;
• you have a natural ability to connect and collaborate with different relationships;
• strong analytical ability to analyze developments in your field and customer questions and translate them into new offerings;
• you are enterprising and you can advise and organize well;
• that you are collaborative, social, have strong communication skills and are focused on the team and team performance;
• fluent in Dutch and writing and speaking English and excellent communication skills.

What does PAOTM offer you?

• A salary based on scale 11 from the Collective Labor Agreement for Dutch Universities with a minimum of € 4,332 and a maximum of € 5,929 gross per month based on a full working week (40 hours), plus 8% holiday pay;

The Post Academic Education Technology and Management Foundation (PAOTM) in Delft has been organizing courses and training for more than 70 years for engineers (university/higher professional education) who want to delve deeper into their profession, broaden their knowledge or work on their personal development. We encourage knowledge sharing that contributes to solving social issues and the technology of the future, without a profit motive. Our lecturers work at technical universities, colleges, research institutions and other organizations - all leading in their field - so that topics are discussed from various angles and are directly applicable in practice. Our courses are on location and very interactive due to the small groups, which leaves plenty of room for depth and input of your own cases.
